New Samsung Corby Plus and Corby Pro mobiles

Samsung launches two new pair of Corby phones CorbyPlus B3410 and CorbyPro B5310 in Indian market. This pair is also expected to be a big hit similar to those Corbys’ which were recently launched. The common features in both the phones include full QWERTY keypads and QVGA touchscreen displays, providing access to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace via Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

Encouraged by the recent success of the Samsung Corby phones, Samsung has decided to include two more Corby handsets namely Corby Plus (B3410) and Corby Pro (B5310) for the Indian shores, reports tech2. Now 5 handsets are encompassed in the Corby family.

Supposedly, both Corby Plus and Corby Pro are designed for heavy texters to provide comprehensible SMS and IM (Instant Messenger) which can be facilitated through its complete QWERTY slide out keypad. Both these handsets also come with Buddy List, Chat Style SMS, EasyEmail Set up wizard, Instant Chat Messenger and Popular SNS Sites.

In social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, users can update their present status and also view their friends’ updates or live feeds via easy Pop-up SNS. Both the mobile phones can offer easy access to social networking sites by incorporating top User Generated Content sites like YouTube, Flickr, Picasa and Photobucket and other popular SNS sites counting Facebook, MySpace and Friendster straightaway into the phone’s user interface.

Yadav stated, “Frequent use of texting, emailing, Instant Messaging , sharing content through their mobiles are some of the ways by which today’s youth chooses to stay connected with their friends. Corby series is designed to fulfill this need to stay connected while giving them choice: choice in terms of the color of the handset, choice over how they stay connected and choice over the features and functionality that best suit their unique personalities and needs to stay connected.”

Apparently, the Corby Plus boasts of a 2.6-inch QVGA 262K TFT LCD screen and a 2 MP camera. The handset also includes FM radio with recording facility and call recording ability. The device also encompasses a 3.5mm ear jack.

Supposedly, the Corby Pro is designed for business users with a keen interest for entertainment and multimedia features. The handset is available with push email services, conversational SMS and native Facebook and MySpace. Moreover, the mobile phone sports a 2.8-inch TFT 16M QVGA full touch screen. The device comprises of a 3MP digital camera, 3G and quad band connectivity. The handset is A-GPS enabled and also provides Wi-Fi. For music lovers, the Corby Pro includes a 3.5mm ear jack and excellent music keys
