The DMC-GH3 realises high-quality still images with true-to-life detail through excellent resolution, image rendering and colour reproduction. It features the newly developed 16.05 effective megapixels Live MOS sensor, boasting a wide dynamic range and high ISO shooting capability. Excellent video quality is also assured with various formats available for you to use (including AVCHD, AVCHD Progressive, MP4 or MOV with the frame rate at 50p, 25p or 24p according to usage*) and the DMC-GH3 is capable of recording ultra-high bitrate video continuously for an unlimited time.

Fast Contrast AF and OLED displays deliver precision results

The DMC-GH3 features an ultra-fast Light Speed AF with an accuracy and speed that rivals the performance of high-end DSLRs and high-precision, high-speed dual OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) displays for the LVF (Live View Finder) and rear monitor. The new 16:9 wide screen OLED LVF provides 1,744k dot equivalent resolution and 100% field of view. The 3.0-inch 614K-dot free-angle OLED rear monitor (3:2 aspect) rotates 180° to the side and tilts 270° up and down for around 100% field of view and uses static touch control for smooth operation in shooting and playback.

Featuring a magnesium alloy full diecast frame and a splash dustproof construction, the DMC-GH3 is tough enough to withstand heavy field use. The compact, rugged body is made even more appealing with an ergonomic grip and intuitive layout of control buttons and dials.

Enjoy smartphone control and easy social media uploading

The built-in Wi-Fi® module for wireless connectivity allows you to turn your smartphone or tablet into a remote control/monitor for the DMC-GH3, simply by downloading the LUMIX LINK application for Android/iOS smartphones and tablets. Images including RAW files can also be transferred directly to your smart device. You can save photos to the Panasonic exclusive cloud service LUMIX CLUB and easily transfer images to Facebook™, Flickr™, Picasa™, Twitter™ or YouTube™; and also play back images on DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) -compliant AV equipment via a wireless router at home.

Connection terminals and creative modes offer flexible shooting options

The DMC-GH3 comes with a variety of connection terminals, offering more flexible shooting options for the professional videographer, in addition to new optional accessories that include a wireless LED flash, stereo shotgun microphone and rugged battery grip. The camera also incorporates Photo Style and Creative Control for individual creative expression.
